WAU is best known for our head-turning marine-grade canopies

We use experienced fabricators who custom-build frames to fit the contours and shape of your car perfectly.

Have you seen those loose-fitting canopies that flap in the wind and are covered in creases?

That won’t happen with WAU. We take pride in every stitch and frame so your canopy looks sharp, fits tight, and is built to last.

Don’t let your brand new car look dated with a poor-quality canopy, or leave your beloved old ute looking tired. Contact us for competitive pricing. If you can’t find what you’re after or want something heavily customised, just give us a call.

Tray-Back Ute Canopies

Our Standard Ute Canopy is a WA favourite. Its becoming hard to spot a canopy on WA roads without it having our recognisable logo. We custom build all of our frames to match the profile of your tray with a precision-made lightweight aluminium frame. We then custom make a cover to your required specifications. The standard frame and cover has 6 zips to make a roll up door on each side and the rear. The centre bar of the frame is put through a roller to give pitch to the roof to allow water to run off without making the canopy look like a Teepee. If you plan to mount things on top of the canopy you’ll need to look into getting a roof rack. You will need to reinforce the frame if you plan on mounting a rack at an extra cost below. To build your canopy we require your car for a 3 day booking.

Well Body Ute Canopies

WAU is well known for its great looking, light weight ute canopies. Our experienced fabricators make an aluminium frame to suit your car with having it tie into the shape of your cab to achieve the best possible look. We then custom make a cover to suit. If you plan on mounting anything to the roof of the canopy you’ll need to look into getting a roof rack. All our frames are built to have the option to add one of our custom roof racks. You will need to let us know if you plan on mounting a roof rack so we can opt for our reinforced frame which has a 6mm thick sleeved front and rear bar as well as large gussets. To build your canopy, we require your car for a 3-day booking.

Tub Rack Canopies

The popularity of tub racks has boomed in recent years. WAU can custom tailor a great looking canopy for most of the off the shelf tub racks available. The most common tent rack we cover is the PPD Ozroo rack and the Kings tent rack. We can also custom make an aluminium tent frame for you. Advantages of having us build your frame is the aluminium frame is far lighter than the steel tub racks and they can be built to suit the shapes of your tub.

Custom made ute tonneaus

WAU can custom make you a tonneau to suit your needs. Custom making a tonneau can be made with the seamless clip on style or the traditional elastic loop style. Having a cusom tonneau made means it can be made around bar work or tent racks that have been added to the vehicle.

Locking Cage Canopies

We can fabricate a locking cage canopy for your ute tray that follows the profile of your tray for a superior look and fit. We remove your tray sides to maximise access giving you a nice large door on both sides and rear. Locking cages are structurally very strong and allow for peace of mind with heaving loads when accompanied with one of your custom built racks. The benefit of locking cage and cover canopies when compared to solid box canopies is first the massive different in weight (average cage is 60 – 80kg) and secondly the ability to roll the canvas sides up to allow for ventilation. Being able to let the heat out in summer is a massive bonus for your dog! This also means your fridge wont have to work as hard to cool. To build your cage canopy we need your ute for 5 days. We book cage canopies Mon – Fri with pick up Friday afternoon. Drop off 7am Mon.
